PROJECTS:
- Rehabilitation of the Alotau-Gurney Highway and rural road networks.
- Upgrading wharves and jetties to boost inter-island trade.
- Expansion of solar and hydro energy projects for rural electrification.
- ICT rollout to improve internet access across the province.
PROGRESS & UPDATES:
- 50km of rural roads upgraded in 2023.
- Hybrid solar-diesel power plants established in remote islands.
- Increased mobile and internet coverage in previously unconnected communities.
